Description
Steel-bonded cemented carbide means by itself a compound material prepared via means of powder metallurgy with steel as the binder phase and refractory metals carbides (mainly titanium carbide tungsten carbide) as the hard phase. Steel-bonded cemented carbide possesses excellent performances and properties.
A) High hardness and high wear resistance. Many refractory metal carbides (titanium carbide) are dispersed in the steel-bonded cemented carbide, which has high hardness. They can greatly improve the wear resistance of the products.
B) Good workability. Steel-bonded cemented carbide has good mechanical properties due to its matrix structure as alloy steel (tool steel and so on) and it can be machined by general machining equipment, such as turning, milling, planing, drilling and grinding, etc.
C) High performance-cost ratio. Compared with tungsten cobalt cemented carbide, the density of steel-bonded cemented carbide is lower, about 6.5g/ cm³, and it has a good price ratio advantage.

GT35 (TIC) processing performance:
In the annealed state, ordinary lathes can be used, and the milling machine can process complex profiles such as outer circles, planes, threads,
etc., and can be ground after quenching. The quenching deformation is small. High hardness, high wear resistance and high strength can be
easily obtained by quenching treatment.
GT35 (TIC) comprehensive performance:
The hardness HRC (HRA) is between YG15-YG20 (HRC67-73). The strength and toughness are better than that of cemented carbide. The wear
resistance is close to that of cemented carbide. The density (ρ6.5) is lower than that of cemented carbide. . The red hardness is poor (the working
temperature reaches 400° and the hardness HRC starts to decrease), the blank price is 50% lower than that of the cemented carbide, and the
cost performance is high. Can be widely used in molds, cutting tools, steel and other industries.
